Principal - Beverage Alcohol (The Boston Consulting Group, Inc.
- New York, New York): Lead the design and development of multiple,
long-term business strategies for clients within the beverage alcohol sector in
order to achieve superior profitability and growth. Direct organizational
design and consumer insight studies to optimize the marketing and sales
functions of beverage alcohol companies. Lead client development and
business generation initiatives including proposal writing and
identification of opportunities through client networking, annual client planning,
and market research. Present business findings and recommendations to
senior client management including CEOs, CMOs, and CFOs. Lead and direct
multiple case teams simultaneously, including personnel assignments, research
and analysis, and client reports. Oversee, direct, and undertake
critical evaluation of analytical work performed by junior professional
staff using advanced economic and financial analysis techniques. Requires a
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, marketing,
political science or a related social science discipline (willing to accept
foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a management
consultant, business analyst, or a quantitative analyst which must include
at least two (2) years of experience providing business strategy, marketing,
and sales recommendations to companies in the beverage alcohol sector.
Specific skills/other requirements (quantitative experience requirement
not applicable to this section) – must possess the following: (i)
applying advanced economic and financial analysis theories such as
competitive cost and decision analysis, capabilities assessment, portfolio review
based on financial reports, and experience and scale curve analysis; (ii)
conducting advanced analysis of scale economies, seasonal effects on
financial forecasts, impact of uncertainties on business outcomes,
corporate financing policies and evaluation of factors that influence a
company's debt capacity; (iii) direct and lead individuals, teams, and
processes; and (iv) develop and implement organizational design and consumer
insight studies to optimize a company’s marketing and sales
functions. Domestic/international travel required based on company/client
need. Must have unrestricted authorization to work in U.S. M-F, 9:00 a.m.
