Location: New York, NY Job Type: Full-Time Contract Shift: Monday –
Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pay: $19–$21.00/hour (based on
experience) Referral Bonus: $500 for qualified referrals (100 hours
worked) Overview: A leading healthcare organization in New York, NY
is seeking an experienced Billing Coordinator for a full-time
contract position. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented
professional with hands-on coding experience who takes pride in
accuracy and efficiency within medical billing operations. The
Billing Coordinator will perform coding using ICD-10 and CPT ,
ensure compliance with insurance and billing regulations, and
collaborate closely with clinical and administrative teams to
maintain accurate financial records. Billing Coordinator Key
Responsibilities: Accurately assign and review ICD-10 and CPT codes
for medical procedures and diagnoses Process and submit insurance
claims in accordance with payer requirements and compliance
standards Audit billing data for accuracy, completeness, and
timeliness Resolve claim discrepancies and denials through
effective follow-up and documentation Maintain up-to-date knowledge
of insurance policies, coding updates, and reimbursement procedures
Collaborate with physicians, coders, and billing teams to ensure
proper documentation and coding integrity Billing Coordinator
Qualifications: Associate’s Degree – Required Bachelor’s Degree in
Finance, Accounting, or related field – Preferred Minimum 2 years
of Medical Billing experience – Required Minimum 1 year of active
coding experience – Required Proficiency in ICD-10 and CPT coding –
Required Strong understanding of insurance guidelines and
compliance standards Proficiency with electronic health record
