Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Radiation Therapist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 03/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel This position is for a Radiation Therapist working day shifts on a five-day schedule with hours from 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM and a guaranteed 40 hours per week. The therapist will deliver radiation therapy treatments to patients undergoing cancer treatment while working closely with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and oncology care teams. The role focuses on providing accurate and safe radiation therapy procedures while maintaining compassionate patient care throughout the treatment process. The Radiation Therapist is responsible for preparing patients for treatment, operating advanced radiation therapy equipment, and ensuring precise treatment delivery according to physician-prescribed plans. The position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to support patients during complex oncology treatments in a clinical radiation therapy environment. Requirements: Candidates must hold a current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy and maintain certification through the New York State Department of Health. A minimum of two years of recent radiation therapy experience is required. Applicants must demonstrate hands-on experience using advanced radiation therapy technologies including TrueBeam systems, AlignRT or VisionRT surface guidance technology, and RGSc equipment. Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols, oncology treatment procedures, and patient positioning techniques is essential. Candidates should also have experience working within radiation oncology departments and possess strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with physicians, physicists, and other oncology care professionals while providing supportive patient care.
