Are you ready to experiment with us? The Position The Associate
Director Consumer Marketing will be responsible for supporting the
development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives aimed
at engaging consumers and driving brand awareness and adoption.
This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to
implement effective omnichannel marketing strategies, coordinate
promotional campaigns, and manage consumer engagement events, all
while tracking performance metrics to ensure successful execution.
Ultimately, the position aims to enhance the consumer experience
and optimize brand performance in alignment with overall business
objectives. Relationships Reports to the Sr. Director, Wegovy
Consumer Marketing. Collaborates with sales, marketing, training,
and finance teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and
regulatory requirements. Essential Functions Brand/Therapy Area
ManagementDevelop and execute pre-launch, launch, and ongoing
consumer-related brand/therapy area strategic objectives and
activation strategies. Contribute to prioritizing consumer needs,
opportunities, and market forecasting to drive effective brand
performance Consumer Experience StrategyCraft and executing
consumer experience strategies, ensuring consistent messaging and
communication across all touchpoints. Play an active role in the
implementation of various marketing initiatives aimed at enhancing
consumer engagement Strategic Planning and ExecutionAddress
competitive obstacles and participate in developing marketing plans
that are both compelling and actionable for consumers. Collaborate
on campaign development to ensure timely execution and alignment
with the brand’s strategic direction Global CollaborationWork
closely with global colleagues on brand/therapy area strategy and
contribute to key decision-making processes as the U.S. brand
representative. Assist in the execution of global plans tailored
for the U.S. consumer market Omnichannel Experience StrategyProvide
consumer insights to the omnichannel marketing team to develop and
execute effective branded and unbranded marketing strategies that
drive consumer engagement and activation efforts Early Market
EducationDesign and execute educational initiatives and campaigns
that increase brand awareness among consumers for upcoming launches
Learning Event CoordinationAssist in organizing and coordinating
participation in promotional events, community engagements, and
other relevant activities to enhance brand visibility and engage
consumers effectively Measuring PerformanceEstablish and track key
performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of consumer
engagement strategies while regularly analyzing data to inform
strategy adjustments and improve executionContinuous
ImprovementPromote a culture of innovation and responsiveness by
implementing 'test and learn' principles, actively seeking
opportunities to enhance consumer interactions, and making
recommendations for execution improvementsHealth Systems Strategy
SupportCollaborate with medical affairs and market access teams to
support the execution of health systems strategies that ensure
adequate access for consumers at the system levelBudget Management
SupportAssist with the effective management of the marketing
budget, ensuring resource allocation is optimized for executing
strategies while remaining compliant with financial goalsPeople
Development SupportParticipate in onboarding and training new team
members, supporting the development of clear role expectations and
individualized development plans aligned with business priorities
Physical Requirements 20-30% overnight travel required.
Qualifications Requires a Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree
preferredMinimum of 8 years of experience, including demonstrated
history in a marketing role within the pharmaceutical
industryExperience in pharmaceutical industry/life science brand
marketing strategy and planning; experience within obesity
preferredUnderstanding of field force dynamics and incentive
compensation planningStrong project management skills with ability
to prioritize tasks and manage deadlinesStrong collaboration and
communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional
teamsExpertise in regulatory guidelines related to promotional
